Rafting in Val di Sole
THE WILD NOCE

Who loves the waterways sports have certainly heard about the river Noce, a water-sports heaven: rafting, hydro speed and kayak can be safely practiced.

In Trentino the river Noce is the perfect location for the waterways sports. A fame that the influential National Geographic has magnified: it has made a rank with the ten best river in the world where practicing rafting, Noce is the only river in Europe. Also Lonely Planet certifies the river Noce as an important place for the waterways sports and the rank confirms it as the best river in Europe.

With its 28 kilometers navigable, from May to September, it’s one of the most suggestive and exciting rafting and canoeing paths of Trentino, practicable by everybody even with no experience.

Here the best places where you can practice it:

In Commezzadura (between Dimaro and Mezzana) there is the Sports Outdoor Extreme Waves center (www.extremewaves.it) where you can choose between four different descents dedicated to adults. The “Extreme” is the longest, a 3,5 hours descent. In specific river conditions you can reach the Santa Giustina Lake. The center organizes hydro-speed and kayak excursions too.

In Dimaro, the Rafting Center Val di Sole (www.raftingcenter.it) has a thirty-year experience in extreme sports and outdoor activities. It is located inside the Dolomites Camping Village, a four-star resort, that has a 600mq wellness center too.

In Cusiano, near the major tourist resorts (Marilleva, Tonale, Pejo, Madonna di Campiglio, Ponte di Legno) there is the Eurorafting (www.eurorafting.com). Its strength is the 7000 square meters of green space, in which has been realized a small lake where bathe.

At the Croviana sportive center, the Chili Rafting (www.chilirafting.it) is one of the most recent. It was realized in 2006, it’s inside an ancient wood, on the banks of the river Noce. There is a solarium, a barbecue and pick-nick area, beach volley field, soccer and tennis fields, large changing rooms with showers.

In Caldes-Le Contre, the Trentino WILD (www.trentinowild.it) is the only outdoor sport center that host the National Training School for the Fluvial Assistance rescue project. At the Village there are also activities and services for families, a caravan area, a wide parking lot, bike park, bouldering, a beach area and the Wild Pub, that at night turns into a party local for birthdays and bachelor parties.
